This page was created in March 2004 after a super special trip with Mum around the Swiss Mountains on the Glacier Express. It will always remain as a very, very fond memory of a very special time.
"Mum has been going through an awful lot over these last months. A shed load of medical treatment and many other personal upsets too. In October, for her birthday (her 60th - but don't tell her I told you), we decided to offer her a trip to the peace, beauty and tranquillity of Switzerland.
In March 2004, I made this small dream come true with a trip on the world famous Glacier Express....(see http://www.glacierexpress.ch/en/1glac_1.html for details). It was magical, from Zermatt to St Moritz - in perfect weather...simply gorgeous...
The route we took was basically Switzerland - all of it. My crude map shows my route and as you can see, we did it all...."
