A Dream Come True...
A long time ago, way back when (well, in May
1991 to be precise), I was very fortunate to have a dream come true. The stuff
of legend, of James Bond and of small boys fantasies came to reside on the
driveway - somehow, and I can't recall quite how, I managed to trade the MR2 and acquire a Lotus Esprit. A wonderful car as I
recall, that was to last a full...action packed...errr...3 days.
Having taken delivery on the Thursday, being
to drunk to drive it on the Saturday, I fortunately failed to kill myself and my
unsuspecting Brother on the Sunday. A lesson indeed and one that has stood me in
good stead in my life of cars ever since - I learnt a lot that day.
Fortunately the only cost was my pride - and a very lovely automobile.
Not for the faint hearted......

Since watching the 'Spy who loved me', I loved this car |

It was odd then, some 13years ago, that I fell for a 'red' one.. |
The lines, for its time, were stunning. |

The first, and last jmyney, was to see my Grandma for her 80th Birthday in Wales. |
It stopped Wales, it stopped everything, it was stunning. |

I was so, so excited - only 2other cars have moved me more...but then, I was young! |
Too young....as time would tell.... |
...not that much time..A mans car with a small boy - disaster. Thank God I didn't kill anyone... |
Coming over the crest of a hill, too fast and showing off to my brother, I lost control.... |
Hit several innocent bushes.... |
..and destroyed a work of art, my pride and a lot of faith that had been put in me to care for those that travel as passengers. Never again! |
